NEWS: Good news for SPM students

WITH the approaching Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, students are busy buying revision books to prepare for the most important exam in secondary school.

However, there is good news in store for them. This year, they can download one such book for free!

Times Soalan Ulangkaji SPM 2008 is made available by Times Guides Sdn Bhd as a community project.

“As a higher education magazine publisher, we always encourage students to do well in their SPM examination before embarking on the next stage of higher learning.

“The Times Soalan Ulangkaji SPM 2008 is our way of lending a hand to SPM students to help them achieve good results,” said its senior marketing manager, Amutha Subramaniam.

The book contains revision questions on Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, History, Additional Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science and Accounting.

It was put together by a panel of teachers with vast experience in the respective subjects.

“We are confident the book will help students prepare better for their exams,” says Amutha.

Those interested can download the e-version from www.times.my.

This year, 15,000 Form Five students from schools in the Klang Valley, Penang, Ipoh and Seremban have received free hard copies of the book.

Asked why only selected students received the printed copies, Amutha said that the high cost of printing has limited their means to print more.

“That is why we created an e-book which students can download for free from our website. We want as many students as possible to benefit from this.”
